Underfloor heating - Purmo Floortec

Solid Floor Construction:

Tackernail

The pipe is positioned in place and then a barbed Tackernail is fixed over the pipe by means of a Purmo FLOORTEC Tackertool 3D. The barbs snag on the foil material holding the pipe until the screed or concrete is laid

Tacker

Purmo FLOORTEC underfloor heating insulation can be either 25mm or 50mm PS20 (EPS100) with a webbing foil bonded to the top surface. This webbing foil acts as a protective layer and, after laying, all joints are taped to maintain integrity. A 50mm grid is marked onto the foil to assist in the positioning of the Purmo FLOORTEC underfloor heating pipework.

Cliprail

Purmo FLOORTEC Cliprail consists of a robust U-shaped channel in a 1 metre length, with fixing positions every 50mm to secure the Purmo Floortec underfloor heating pipework. This is a fast and cost effective method of installing underfloor heating and is suitable for both traditional and liquid screeds. The pipe is installed in a serpentine laying pattern, therefore we recommend the hotter floor pipe is routed to any higher heat loss areas of the floor.

Floating Floor Construction:

Floating

Floating Purmo FLOORTEC floating floor system has been uniquely developed to meet the increasing demand for this type of flooring structure. Floating floor systems have a low thermal mass and consequently have a swift response time to changes in temperature. Floating floors also reduce the overall loading on the building, minimising the weight of the floor compared to the other floor systems. Suitable for 16mm multilayer pipework only.
