Purmo Air consists of a typical panel radiator Purmo type 11, 22 or 33 and a small set for ventilation and filtering to be installed under the radiator.
It is also adjusted to be used with water central heating installations equipped in mechanical exhaust ventilation.
The development of this system is connected with the need to assure access to outside air of appropriate quality and quantity in modern buildings equipped in window woodwork of specific kind. Bad quality of the air inside the room results from high concentration of carbon dioxide, excessive humidity and emissions from building materials and furnishings.

| The way this system works is easy. An air duct of 100 mm installed behind the radiator lets the outside air in a filtration chamber. The Purmo Air unit and the Purmo panel radiator then simultaneously filter and heat the air. Clean, fresh air is released into the room without any noise or draughts.
